Soil prep is very important in the success of the sod and establishing your new lawn installation. Soil preparation can only be done once before laying your sod delivery. Clear all weeds and debris from area. We recommend a minimum depth of quality top soil to be 2-4 inches prior to installation of sod. Level and grade entire sod area. Soil should be graded to about one inch below concrete. Water soil to allow proper settling of ground and any trenches made prior to sod installation. After a disagreement on the sod I ordered in advance was settled the pallet was loaded into my truck. It is beautiful sod. I laid it down myself and because the rolls were cut properly it all fit together very nicely. I highly recommend this sod and the Peterson family farm where I picked it up,

Laid around 3500 sq/ft of sod and it all looks fantastic. Even the tiny pieces I cut out to plant in a few bare areas around my already established grass grew in thick and green. I really liked Sod King and was happy I went with them.
